NBA legend Michael Jordan made a special dream come true for 16-year-old Marc Garcia who traveled from Pennsylvania to Las Vegas to meet the 6-time NBA champion. In addition, Jordan also flew out Marc’s mother Mercedes and his brother Reuben for the trip.
Marc, who has been in and out of hospitals battling sickle-cell anemia, always had one wish to meet his hero Jordan.As a result, Jordan, who is the chief wish ambassador for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, invited Marc and his family to the 10th Annual Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational at Aria and Shadow Creek Golf Course.
In addition to the meeting, Jordan gave Marc a private golf lesson and invited him to the MJCI gala at Aria, where he mingled and took photographs with Hollywood and sports stars, including singer and actress Christina Milian and NFL star Jerome Bettis. Jordan even had Marc walk the red carpet with him.
“It was an unforgettable experience,” the elated teenager said.
