On today’s episode of “The View”, the ladies have a intense discussion about using the ‘N-Word.’ During the discussion, co-host Sherrie Shepherd had mixed emotions when Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg used the “N-Word” while reporting on a story about Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry.
Shepherd explained to her co-host and the audience that she felt okay with the way Whoopi (because she’s Black) said the “N-Word,” but she felt uneasy about how Babara Walters (because she’s White) pronounced the word.
Whoopi chimed in and said that she feels okay with Walters using the “N-Word,” because she was only reporting a story and the word was not directed towards her in a derogatory way.
