Meet Marilee Fiebig-Holmes, wife of former CNN news anchor T.J. Holmes. The couple married on March 1st, 2010 and spent their honeymoon in St. Lucia, which is an island country located in the eastern Caribbean Sea.
Holmes has one teenage daughter from his college sweetheart and ex-wife, Amy Ferson. The two divorced in 2007. Shortly after, he briefly dated R&B singer Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas from the female band “TLC.”
Marilee Fiebig Holmes, an Atlanta-area attorney, was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She has a B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.
Mrs. Holmes’ law practice concentrates on business immigration, including temporary working status and permanent residence for professionals, international transfers, investors, researchers, artists and athletes.
In securing appropriate status for foreign national employees, Ms. Holmes works with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Department of Labor and Department of State. Ms. Holmes also provides assistance with global immigration issues for multinational companies and advises companies on general immigration policies, planning and I-9 and E-Verify compliance.
She is currently on the Board of Directors, Refugee Resettlement and Immigration Services of Atlanta (RRISA). She is also Treasurer of the Immigration Law Section of State Bar of Georgia and a mentor at Year-Up Atlanta.
T.J. Holmes, real name Loutelious Ann Holmes Jr., is a reporter and former news anchor on the weekend edition of CNN Newsroom, CNN Saturday Morning, and CNN Sunday Morning. Holmes joined CNN in October 2006.
In December 2011, Holmes announced that he was stepping down from his weekend CNN anchor chair to work for BET Networks. Holmes’ last broadcast for CNN was on Sunday, December 25, 2011.
On December 7th, 2011, BET announced on their website that they “inked a multi-platform talent agreement” with Holmes.
BET.com wrote: “The deal with Holmes includes a new show on BET, as well as content on BET.com in which he can bring his many talents to what the company regards as “the most important and interesting stories” for the BET audience.”
