Actor Samuel L. Jackson’s wife, LaTanya Richardson, recently opened up about her struggles of the couple’s 40-year marriage. Richardson said that her husband Jackson is “smart,” but “emotionally disconnected.”
Actress and TV producer LaTanya Richardson wed “The Avengers” star in 1980 after a long courtship, but Richardson admits their relationship hasn’t always been easy.
She reveals she’d sometimes call the actor while he was filming on location to see if he missed her, only for him to say, ‘No.’
Speaking to The New York Times Magazine, she says, “I felt abandoned. It was easier in the earlier years when we sometimes acted together onstage.”
And even though Richardson insists the secret to their longevity is “amnesia,” the 62-year-old insists their bond has greatly improved over time.
She adds, “He’s changing. The other day I cut my hand and he took me to the hospital. Years ago, I’d have to go by myself.” (Source)
