Meet Ashton Meem-Wilson, wife of NFL star quarterback Russell Wilson.
Ashton says she first met Russell “briefly in high school, then again at a summer party and after that started seeing each other.”
Soon after, Ashton left town to attend college at the University of Georgia and Russell went off NC State. The pair kept up their long-distance romance until Ashton decided to transfer to NC State to be with her soon-to-be husband Russell.
Early on in their relationship, they talked about marriage, and then on August 1, 2010, Russell popped the big question to Ashton.
On January 14, 2012, Russell and Ashton tied the knot at the Country Club of Virginia.
Ashton graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Communications. Ashton use to work a marketing job at an insurance company in North Carolina, but now she’s an Event Planner residing in Seattle with her hubby Russell.

Russell Wilson currently plays quarterback for the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks. Wilson was selected by the Seahawks with the 12th pick in the third round (75th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft.
Wilson signed a four-year, $2.99 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks on May 7, 2012.
