Meet Amani Pollard, wife of former NFL star turned Director of Player Development for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars Marcus Pollard.
The couple met in Atlanta back in 1995, while Amani was still in college, and Marcus had just started playing his first year in the NFL for the Indianapolis Colts.
They dated for three years, married and had a “honeymoon baby.” Amani explains, “Our first child was a honeymoon baby, so we entered into our marriage running after kids.” They are the proud parents of four children and reside in Pine Mountain, Georgia.
Amani is a small-business owner, who operates a country chic boutique called “Maize n’ Grace.”
Pollard and Amani were cast members of the reality television show called “The Amazing Race 19.”
They finished the competition in third place out of the 11 teams in the final leg of The Amazing Race 19 after having been saved by a non-elimination on the sixth leg, where they came in last.
Marcus Pollard played tight end in the NFL for 13 years. He played for several teams including the Indianapolis Colts (1995–2004), Detroit Lions (2005–2006), Seattle Seahawks (2007), New England Patriots (2008) and Atlanta Falcons (2008).
Currently, Pollard is the Director of Player Development for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars.
