Theballerlife.com would like to congratulate ballet dancer Mist Copeland on becoming the first African-American woman to be named a “principal dancer” in the 75-year history of American Ballet Theater. Referring to herself as an unlikely ballerina while dancing in her teen years, Copeland defied the odds and the critics to break barriers and reach new heights.
