Meet Chanda Wallace, wife of NBA star Ben Wallace. The couple has 2 children together: son Bryce, and daughter Baile. Ben also has a nine-year old son, Ben Jr., from a previous relationship. Chanda and Ben married back in July 2001. The couple met through a mutual friend while attending Virginia Union University in Richmond. On their first date, they went barhopping in Schockoe Bottom, the hub for nightlife in Richmond, even though neither drinks. They entertained themselves by watching others drink and by talking. Chanda is the strength behind the NBA star. She cooks his meals and braids his hair. In the past, Chanda often traveled with her husband during the grueling basketball schedule, sacrificing a life of her own to be by his side.
Yeah!!!! Thank you to all the ballin’ brothers who don’t think that they or their money are too good for black women. Hell, anybody else is going to spend it just the same…might as well be a sister who loves you because of your beautiful blackness rather than just the green in your pocket. Thank you for not being afraid to love a black woman…for not treating us like we’re lepers because we love hard, we love strong, and most of us are overly loyal to your black asses!
