Meet Crystal Dawson, wife of professional light heavyweight boxer Chad Dawson. Crystal and Chad met at a club about 10 years ago…. and married in August 2007. The couple has three children (sons) together and live in New Haven, Connecticut.
During an interview with Boxing News Online, Chad talked about his relationship with his wife Crystal.
Chad says:
“It’s good to have someone watching my back. My wife is always the one to tell me if someone is not right around me. She’s never tried to become my manager and she helps me recognize who has my best interests at heart. Promoters and managers try to drive fighters’ wives away, but they don’t get that it’s the wives that keep you up and support you. That’s what my wife does for me.”
Chad Dawson is the former WBC, IBF & IBO light heavyweight champion. Dawson is currently rated by The Ring Magazine as the number 4 Light Heavyweight boxer in the world. Last night, Dawson defeated Bernard Hopkins, winning the current WBC & The Ring Light Heavyweight championship.
