This past Monday, NFL star Vernon Davis opened up his very own art gallery called, “Gallery 85,” which showcases work from his own exclusion collection as well as other artists. Davis’ new gallery is located in the San Jose – Silicon Valley area of Santana Row.
The invite-only event featured Silicon Valley dignitaries, area artists and popular young actors such as the son of Forest Whitaker and “Great Debaters” star Denzel Whitaker. Vernon’s 49er teammates Frank Gore, DaShon Goldson and Alex Smith were also on hand to support.
A portion of sales from Vernon’s art gallery will go towards The Vernon Davis Foundation for the Arts, which provides art education to at-risk youth and offers scholarships to college art students.
