Meet Ashley Hamasaki Jones-Drew, wife of NFL star Maurice Jones-Drew.
Ashley met Maurice when she was just a 8-year-old cheerleader cheering for him in a Pop Warner football league in California. Soon after, the two became good friends and then started dating on and off throughout junior high and high school.
When Maurice received a full scholarship and went off to play college football at UCLA, Ashley stayed behind and attended The Paul Mitchell School to become a cosmetologist. When Jones-Drew was drafted by the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, Ashley again decided to stay back to give her future husband time to focus on his career.
Fast forward six years later, Maurice and Ashley still stayed true to each other and tied the knot on April 1st, 2012 in Pleasanton, California.
Ashley and Maurice have three children together: two sons, Maurice II and Madden, and one daughter, Alayah.
Currently, Maurice Jones-Drew plays for the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars. Jones-Drew played college football for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and received All-American recognition. The Jaguars chose him in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft, and he has been named to the Pro Bowl three times.
