Theballerlife.com has some good news to report about freed football star Brian Banks, who just signed a new film deal to make his true life story into a movie.
In case you did not know, Banks is the young man who spent 5 long years in prison and 5 years on probation for a rape charge he didn’t commit.
After getting released from serving 5 years in prison, Banks ended up proving his accuser had made the whole thing up. Soon after, he worked hard to get back in shape and pursue his life long dream of playing football in the NFL.
Banks, who was one of the top high school football prospects in the country when he was accused of rape back in 2002, ended up getting signed with the Atlanta Falcons last year, but was unfortunately cut before the regular season started.

Banks has inked a deal with Gidden Media, which will produce a full length feature film based on Brian’s story.
TMZ is reporting that the movie will be produced by Amy Baer, who produced “Last Vegas” which starred Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro and Morgan Freeman.
Along with starting off the new year with a new movie deal, Banks has also found true love with his new girlfriend Emmy Marino.
The couple posted these Instagram photos below of them bringing in the 2014 new year together.
Along with the photos, Emmy wrote on her Instagram account, “Bringin in the new year with my love!”
On a earlier post, Brian wrote “My #wcw … When it’s right. It’s just right.”
